Here are my finished wrist warmers from SNB Nation. I used Paton's SWS in Natural pink!!! LOVE THIS YARN!!!! Now I need a matching scarf!!!

I blocked the whitewater wristwarmers from Magknits. I like them much more now!!

Stuff I'm working on

Here is my 2nd Icarus shawl from IK. Like the first one I did this is a gift, I WILL knit one of these for myself one day. I'm also using HPY lace wt again. I love there yarn!!!

I started these last night. This is the wrist warmer pattern from SNB Nation. I'm using size 6 needles and Paton's SWS in natural pink. OHMY I soo love this yarn!!!! I got 2 extra balls of this color, I think I may make another pair as a gift for next x-mas.

Here is my first finished fair isle sock. I found that the cuff, heel and toe are a little big, so on the 2nd one I'm going down a needle size, as you can see I'm changing the 2nd one up a bit. I'm using KnitPicks Palette.

I have to say it was so much fun watching Trinity open all her gifts, here she's opening a super cute outfit that Kath got her.

The Jamieson’s 2-ply Spindrift and the Sheep to Shawl and Sock Hop book is from Joe. The Handy book of patterns, needle felting tool and gray sock yarn is from my sister. This is just the knitting stuff. I also got some make-up, make-up brushes, 2 little snow man, a book and a santa ohhh and the man candle, I LOVE THE MAN CANDLE!!!!

Knitting and other stuff

Here are my Whitewater Wristwarmers from magknits. Loved the pattern! I wish I made them a little longer. I used DB pure silk, I have mixed feeling for this yarn. I love it but there were lots of knots in it. I need to block them still.

I know alot of people are going to think this pair of socks are ulgy...well I love them so bite me :) the pattern is from SKS and this is my first time working with stranded knitting, well I felted some color work, but that doesn't count. Oh I'm almost done with DH socks...I must get them done tomorrow:)

So my friend Kath came over yesterday and we went to the thrift store. This is a bulky wool that will be turned in to the slippers from SnB Nation. I got some green fun furry stuff from hobby lobby to go with the orange....Yes I LOVE orange and green.

Here are 2 more sweater I got, the natural one is all wool and the green one is an angora blend. Each sweater was 1.99. I also found a cool wall hanging and a green vase, oh and a vintage button down poncho. Yes a poncho but its vintage ulgy, my fav, if you couldn't tell. OH MY I almost forgot the vintage towels!!! I LOVE vintage towels, I hang them on my wall in my office.

Well we also went the the mall, we each found a funky matt&nat green purse. Yes I know this is a vegan bag...Won't it look great with my vintage MINK coat. Oh yes I do mean that.

Socks for DH fro x-mas I think I can make it!! I finished the Jaywalkers but forgot to take a picture before wrapping them. Oh well.

Spinning

Here is the Shetland I pulled off the bobbin. 395 yarns and 3.8 oz.

I spun some more Coop up and the bobbin is almost full. I'm hoping to get this done for my sister for x-mas. I'm pretty sure it will make good sock yarn. And I should have plenty left over to spin up some for myself.

Christmas Knitting

I started this pair of sock for DH last night. Hopefuly this will make pair number 3 for Christmas....I just hope I can get them done. I'm using Trekking XXL and a pattern from SNS. It has a turned row toe, and heel.

These are Jaywalkers for my sister for Christmas, I shouldn't have a problem getting them done...well I better not!

SOOOO I dyed some more.....

Well I dyed that last of my shetland last night and this is what I got. Olive green and teal, I just love these colors together. Getting olive green was a pain in the butt, I had to mix green, orange, pink, black and brown..... LOVE IT I used up all my flickr space so I had to post from blogger and the pictures don't show the color very will because it all rainy here.

I went a little nuts the this weekend...

So yesterday I got a bug up my butt to dye a bunch of fiber...

Well I wiped out some shetland also, this is from my never ending white fleece...well I'm almost out, maybe a lb or so left

I used purple,lilac and black dye and look at the freaky colors I got...LOVE it

Well I ended up dyeing about 3lb of fleece this weekend. I just love doing this!! I have to say that the shetland doesn't like purple dye much, but the coop gave me some crazy ass colors.

All about blocking

I've finished the socks I made for mary mary and I have to say they turned out pretty damn good! Now I just hope the fit!!

Here is some other stuff I had to wash up, x-mas gift socks and a scarf my sister made for my aunt, we're send the our gifts together, I made her socks.... (the red spot on the bed is nail polish art by gooey)

Maggie and some Merino

Well I pulled off the merino I spun up forever ago. I just love it!!! I'm going to say about sock-sport wt, I didn't do the WPI thingie :) But I know that there is 330 yards. I LOVE IT!!! And Maggie looks cute too.

Spinning

I haven't touched my wheel in about a week but this is whats on it. This is some hand dyed shetland that I was going to sell after I carded it, but i just loved it to much. I'm hoping this will become a nice pair of socks.

Thrift store finds.

So when I went to the post office this weekend to send out my FYFS prizes I stoped in the Thrift store that was right next door. The green sweater is about lace - sock wt. and 30% lambs wool 30% acrylic 30% cotton and 10% angora. oh and by the way they were both .59.

This one is 70% wool 18% acrylic and 12% nylon, you really cant see the color but it a wonderful sage green with some tweedy stuff in it. This yarn seems to be
DK ish Not bad for .59 each. 

x-mas fun time

For the life of me I can not find the lights that went in the houses. I'm not a big fan of these but I used to buy them for my mom before she died, so well there they are.

Here is where I'm at. Like yesterday I didn't get much knitting done...I still have many hours before bed and Harry Potter is on again tonight, so that is what I will be doing. :) But I did get my x-mas tree up....
